Easy Apple Crumble Cake Recipe 

A rich, buttery vanilla crumb cake with bits of sweet and tangy apples is apple crumble cake. The warm spiced apples go well with the crunchy cinnamon crumble.

Heat oven to 350 F (177 C). Prepare a 9-inch (23 cm) springform or cake pan with grease and parchment paper.

For the crumble topping, mix flour, brown sugar, granulated sugar, and ground cinnamon in a large bowl. Mix in melted and cooled butter two tablespoons at a time until sand-like.

Toss the chopped apples with ¼ teaspoon of ground cinnamon in a small bowl and put it aside.

All-purpose flour, ground cinnamon, baking powder, baking soda, and salt should be mixed well in a medium bowl.

Beat the butter and sugar in a large mixing bowl until frothy and light. At medium pace, this takes roughly two to three minutes.

Incorporate ⅓ of dry ingredients into wet mixture, followed by ½ of sour cream. Continue until ingredients are just mixed.

Spread cinnamon apple coffee cake batter evenly in pan. Cover with cinnamon crumb, breaking up large bits.

A toothpick inserted into the center of the cinnamon apple crumb cake should come out with a few moist crumbs after 50–55 minutes.

Allow the pan to cool for 15–20 minutes. Carefully remove the cake from the pan to a dish. Sprinkle powdered sugar or glaze, slice, and enjoy!

Apple crumble cake can be stored at room temperature for 3 days in an airtight container. Place the cake in the fridge for 2–3 days.
