Classic One-Skillet Sausage Gravy Recipe
There aren't many breakfasts that tick all the boxes, but biscuits and gravy do. Easy to cook, takes few cheap ingredients, and is hearty.
Ingredient
– 1 pound ground breakfast sausage
– ¼ cup flour
– 2 cups milk
– salt, to taste
– pepper, to taste
– pinch of nutmeg, ground or freshly-grated
Direction
When cooking the sausage in a heavy skillet, split it up into little pieces and heat it until it is browned.

After coating the sausage with the flour, scatter it over it and toss it. 3 minutes of cooking time.

Stir the milk once it has been poured into the pan.

Cook the gravy on medium heat for 7 to 10 minutes, stirring every now and then.

Add salt, pepper, and nutmeg to the gravy after it has thickened. Serve right away on top of biscuits.
